Welcome! Soon this page will be about me and my work.
Aleishia Harris-Arnold is a know-it-all who is happiest when she’s teaching others. She has been studying and teaching science since 1998.
In 2002, she began her career as a research scientist at the University of California, Irvine. There she earned her BS in Biological Sciences. After UC Irvine, she headed east to spend two years conducting clinical research at the National Institute of Health, in Bethesda, Maryland.
In 2007, she headed back west to Stanford University, School of Medicine. At Stanford, she studied translational medicine and earned her PhD in Immunology in 2014. That same year, she moved to the Midwest and began work at Stowers Institute of Medical Research.
Soon after settling in Kansas, she realized that life “at the bench” didn’t satisfy her desire to teach. So, she transitioned from research scientist to research-oriented writer.
